Uttar Pradesh: Meet a 65-year-old father of 61 girls

Lucknow, Oct 10: Srinivas Chaudhari, a 65-year-old resident of Muzzaffarpur in Uttar Pradesh, is the father of 61 girls and he is dreaming to expand the number to 108.

To accomplish the noble social cause, Mr Chaudhari joined District Development Department in 2008. Along with the organisation, Mr Chaudhari has been performing the ritual for orphan girls.

Mr Chaudhari is blessed with two daughters and one son. His dream for an extended family comes true with kanya dan. kanya dan is used to describe the most highly valued form of Hindu marriage. According to Wikipedia, kanya dan is a certain Hindu wedding ritual and means “gift of a virgin" or “gift of a maiden".
