Reddy's supporters came up with such demand after accusing the two police officials of not alerting the mining barons about CBI's arrival in the district. CBI, after conducting massive raids at the residence and premises of Reddy's, arrested Janardhan Reddy and his brother-in-law Srinivasa Reddy over illegal mining scam in the district.
Bellary Lok Sabha MP, J Shanta; Raichur MP, Sanna Fakirappa; MLAs, Nemiraju Naik, Chandra Naik, B Nagendra and H T Suresh Babu called Karnataka Chief Minister, Sadananda Gowda on Saturday, Oct 8.
The delegation of Bellary MPs and MLAs also demanded that the ministerial berth from Bellary should be restored in the state cabinet.
Here it can be recalled that responding to the Lokayukta report on illegal mining, Janardhan Reddy and his brother and brother-in-law, Karunakaran Reddy and Srinivasa Reddy respectively were removed from the state cabinet.
