Vigilance and Anti Corruption search former TN min's houses

Chennai, Oct 8: Searches were conducted at the residences of Suresh Rajan, DMK leader and former minister by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti Corruption in Tirunelveli and Kanyakumari districts.

The raids came after there were charges of possessing disproportionate assets.

Sources reveal that six places in Kanyakumari district and one in Tirunelveli came under the vigilance radar on Saturday.

Rajan is the sixth DMK minister against whom action has been taken by the AIADMK government. Rajan had held the registration and tourism portfolio.

Raids were conducted by vigilance officials at the residence of K Ponmudi, K N Nehru, Veerapandi S Arumugam, N K K P Raja and M R K Paannerselvam after there were land grabbing charges against them.
