Samsung, Google respect Steve Jobs; cancel product launch

"We decided it was not the right time to announce a new product while the world was expressing tribute to Steve Jobs's passing," said Kim Titus, spokesman, Samsung Electronics, Suwon, South Korea..
"The industry has never lost such an iconic figure. Obviously we were well down the path but decided this was the right thing to do." he said adding further that Samsung did not disclose the name of the product yet.
Google's Android, one of the most popular smartphones software in the world is used by device makers like HTC Corp, Motorola Mobility Holdings Inc and Samsung.
It is estimated that the the number of smartphones that are sold now will double to a billion by 2015. Google in May, in a developer's conference had called the next version of Android as Ice Cream Sandwich.
