Steve Jobs' family extends thanks for support

San Franciso, Oct 6: Steve Jobs, Apple co-founder dies "peacefully" said his family thanking all those for supporting Steve while he was battling cancer.

"Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family," said his relatives in a statement.

"In his public life, Steve was known as a visionary; in his private life, he cherished his family," said the family.

"We are thankful to the many people who have shared their wishes and prayers during the last year of Steve's illness; a website will be provided for those who wish to offer tributes and memories."

Steve jobs died at the age of 56. He is survived by his wife and three children. He also has a daughter with a woman he dated before his marriage.
