Yahoo joins ABC News in online news partnership

ABC and Yahoo will also work together to sell online advertising. The two companies have a combined online visitors of more than 100 million each month in US.
The partnership kickstarted with the debut of GoodMorningAmerica.Com on Yahoo and three new online-first audio-video series with ABC news correspondents and anchors.
The first show was launched by an interview series named " Newsmakers", which started with a live interview of US President Barack Obama by Good Morning America conducted by Diane Sawyer, Barbara Walters, Katie Couric and Robin Roberts.
Sources said that the agreement would surely increase Yahoo's advertising revenue. Yahoo has been struggling with its advertising revenue since last few years because of competitions from Google and Facebook.
ABC News also has been suffering from a business standpoint last couple of years as it did not have a permanent cable partner as NBC News which has MSNBC and CNBC. This partnership could give a chance to settle the longstanding problem. The ABC News is owned by Walt Disney Co.
