Afghan Prez visits India, to meet PM, Krishna

Both the countries are looking up to enhance their strategic partnership. India is claimed to commit to train the Afghan security forces and for the reconstruction of the country. Meanwhile, Afghanistan will welcome Indian companies to trade in their country. Karzai's visit comes amid controversies over the alleged link between Pakistan and the Haqqani network.
Karzai was deeply hurt by the assassination of former Afghan President Burhanuddin Rabbani. Rabbani is suspected to have been killed by the Taliban, to whom the government was looking to make peace with. The afghan government also suspects the ISI's involvement in the assassination and had blamed the Pakistanis. Karzai had suspended all US-Afghanistan-Pakistan talks since then.
Karzai declared that his government will work closely with US, India and Europe for Afghanistan's development.
