No dowry; Hubby, in-laws force woman to become prostitute

Sirsa/Haryana, Oct 3: A man and his parents allegedly forced a woman into prostitution after they were denied a car as dowry. The entire family has been booked over harassment for dowry case.

The victim, who is a resident of Abubshahar village in Haryana, married a man living in Pilibanga Tehsil in Rajasthan. It has been reported that her in-laws and husband used to torture her for a car.

The victim's family refused to fulfill her in-laws' demands. After the refusal, the woman reportedly was being kept in a house in Jaipur and was forced to spend time with other men.

The victim's husband allegedly gave drug to her before forcing her into prostitution. However, the victim somehow managed to contact her family members who along with police rescued the woman.
