JK CM Omar Abdullah in trouble, fan thrown in assembly
PDP MLA Moulvi Iftikhar Hussain hurled a table fan at the speaker, Mohammad Akbar Lone when the speaker used abusive language against the PDP MLA following a shameful argument in the assembly.
The chief minister of the state, Omar Abdullah and the speaker faced tremendous criticism when PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti claimed, "The CM is allegedly involved in a murder. What can you expect from a Speaker? He has always been biased."
The speaker later apologised for his behaviour in the assembly. However, he (speaker) did not allow PDP's demand to move an adjournment motion in the House for discussion over the mysterious death of a National Conference worker in police custody.
Mehbooba Mufti created more pressure on the CM to table his resignation over the mysterious death of a retired teacher, Haji Yousuf in police custody.
61-year-old Haji Yousuf was handed over to the Crime Branch by Omar Abdullah over alleged corruption and blackmailing charges. Yousuf was accused of taking bribes from two National Conference leaders with a promise to make them Minister and Member of Legislative Council.
