SAARC Folklore festival starts on Friday

Agra, Sep 30: Artistes from SAARC countries would showcase their culture with traditional dances and music at the fourth SAARC Folklore and Heritage festival that will commence here on Friday.

Performers from SAARC countries would entertain with their traditional dances and songs during the three-day festival.

President of the Foundation of SAARC Writers and Literature Ajeet Kaur said the event was aimed at rekindling the shared cultural experience of the region.

Governor of Sikkim Balmiki Prasad Singh would inaugurate the festival tomorrow and the Sri Lankan High Commissioner Prasad Kariya would deliver the keynote address, she said.
