Google+ traffic surges, enters top 10 social sites

New York, Sept 29: Google+ has made its entry into the top 10 popular social networking sites as the number of visitors to the site increased in the month of Sept 2011.

According to latest reports, Google+ on Sept 24 registered 15 million visitors. However, the site stands too far from the dominating social networking site - Facebook which had 1.8 billion visitors last week.

Experian Hitwise, a market research company, declared 1,269% rise in the share market of Google+, last week.

Google+ is growing after expanding its audiences. Previously, Google+ attracted college students but now it has broadened its horizon and has progressed to "Bohemian Groove" and "Hispanic Hospitality."

The speed in the growth of Google+ was more than of Facebook and Twitter. However, it is to early to predict if Google+ will be a real competitor to Mark Zukerberg's monstrous social media - Facebook.

Experian Hitwise spokesperson suggested that Google's other features such as, Gmail and YouTube's popularity can garner more people towards Google+.
