DMK targetted yet again; ex-Min TM Anbarasan raided

The latest raids come in close succession after another former DMK minister Ponmudi's residence was raided by Income Tax sleuths. This latest news makes Anbarasan the 9th DMK leader to be targeted since July 2011.
Anbarasan holds great clout within the party as the district secretary of the DMK.
This Tuesday (Sept 27) saw raids on Ponmudi's and his relative's properties in Chennai and Villupuram. Close to 15 places were raided after it was alleged that he had accumulated massive disproportionate assets. He was earlier arrested on land grab charges on Aug 31 and was refused bail by the Madras High Court on the case.
