Cabinet should take collective responsibility for 2G: CPi(M)

Senior CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury said he had written four letters to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh since 2007 pointing out the irregularities in the 2G spectrum allocation and now the concerns raised by his party have proven true.
He said the Supreme Court, Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) and the CBI were looking into the scam and these "multiple" probes should lead to a logical conclusion.
"New players are being added to the scam. New points are coming out. The issue has become fluid. We need to arrive at a logical conclusion following the multiple probes conducted by Supreme Court, JPC and CBI.
"The Cabinet has to take collective responsibility. Not that only one person should be blamed," Yechury told reporters here, responding to questions on the new developments in the 2G spectrum scam.
When asked about the race for Prime Ministerial candidate in BJP, he said it was an internal matter of that party and he would not like to comment on it.
"I have heard that there are five candidates. Who will become BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate is their internal issue," he said.
