2G: Next in Swamy's line of fire - Robert Vadra, Karunanidhi

New Delhi, Sept 27: Janata Party President Subramaniam Swamy can easily be termed the most fearful and outright politician in the system at the moment. Playing the role of whistleblower with ultimate panache, Swamy is determined to bring the corrupt to book one way or the other. After exposing the roles played by Home Minister P Chidambaram and PM Manmohan Singh, his next target seems to be Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra and DMK chief M Karunanidhi in the 2G scam.

Speaking to a popular TV channel, Swamy said that he had enough evidence to nail both Vadra and Karunanidhi in the 2G scam. He had also claimed that in spite of submitting documentary proof citing Chidamabaram's involvement, the CBI refused to question him.

Swamy had stated that Chidamabaram, in his capacity as the then Finance Minister could have avoided the scam. Backing the allegation was the controversial note accessed by Swamy through an RTI query, that showed Finance Ministry was in the know of the irregularities surrounding the 2G scam.

The note is believed to have been sent to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) on Mar 2011. The matter clearly implies that the Finance Ministry headed by Chidamabaram then was aware of the Telecom misappropriations led by then Telecom Minister A Raja. Raja was named key accused in the 2G scam.
