Navin Kumar to be new chief secretary of Bihar
Kumar has served in the Union urban development department before he was shifted to the Union Ministry of drinking water and sanitation. He will take the office on Sept 30 after Anup Mukherjee, the present officeholder retires.
Kumar, who has a masters in Physics will retire on Aug 10, 2012. The would-be chief secretary has held several important assignments at the Centre that included heavy industries, environment, Doordarshan, resources and agriculture departments.
Kumar also served as Bihar's finance, institutional finance and principal secretary.
