Kerala: 37 Sri Lankan Tamils arrested again, face IB grilling

Officials from Intelligence Bureau (IB) have reportedly reached the place to question the arrested people. Kerala police said, "We are verifying the documents in possession of the detained persons. Officials of the Intelligence Bureau have arrived to quiz them."
Police sources informed that the Sri Lankan Tamils have been using Kerala as a transit point to migrate to countries like Australia and New Zealand.
This was not the first time that such incidents happened. Kerala police had foiled at least two attempts by two groups of Sri Lankan Tamils to migrate to other countries. 38 people were detained in May, 2010 in Kollam, while a team of Kochi police detained a group of 16 Sri Lankan Tamils who had tried to enter the state using sea boats.
