After Sikkim, earthquake rocks Kashmir Valley

Srinagar, Sep 25: The Kashmir Valley was hit by mild intensity of earthquake on Saturday night, Sep 24. It was a mild quake measuring 4.3 on the Ritcher Scale.

'A light intensity earthquake, of magnitude 4.3 on the Richter Scale, occurred here at 8.51 p.m. The epicentre of the quake, located in the Jammu and Kashmir region, was 34.1 degrees North latitude and 73.5 degrees East longitude," Srinagar Meteorological Office director Sonam Lotus said.

'No loss of life or damage to property was reported," Lotus added.
