Orissa: BJD MLA Jagabandhu Majhi shot dead

Raighar, Sept 24: An Orissa MLA has been shot dead at a public meeting in Raighar, Orissa by suspected Maoist terrorists. The BJD MLA Jagabandhu Majhi died instantly.

The PSO of the MLA is reported to be injured in the attack. The body of the deceased MLA has been brought to the Raighar police station.

The MLA was attending a public meeting at Nabrangpur district when Maoists opened fire. He was distributing land records to the local villagers when tragedy struck.
