Bomb scare in Bangalore turns out to be hoax

Bangalore, Sept 24: There has been a bomb scare in a BMTC bus in Bangalore on Saturday morning. A 10 kg packed rumoured to be a bomb was found in a bus. The matter was immediately intimated to the police. After thorough checking the police confirmed that it was a "mischief" and the bomb scare was hoax.

Following the alert, the roads near the Wipro Corporate Office in Sarjapur was cordoned off.

The fact was alerted when passengers found an abandoned bag that contained a packet resembling a bomb. The packet contained a glass bottle and pieces of metal raising fears in people.

The news first broke out on Twitter with many Bengalureans re-tweeting the message. With terrorism playing high in the minds of all, such news heightens fears for the common public.
