Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi had donated left eye before death

Pataudi had lost his right eye sight in an accident when he was 20.
"He always had a wish to donate his eyes. Immediately after his death, we preserved his eye which was sent to Venue Eye and Research Institute here. He and his wife Sharmila have been promoting eye donation," said Dr Sumit Ray, vice-chairman of critical care medicine at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital.
Pataudi was also a board member of the eye institute, a non-profit charitable organisation serving the visually impaired.
Pataudi was laid to rest at his ancestral palace in Pataudi on Friday (today) with thousands thronging the burial site to pay their last respects.
