Nitish Kumar to flag off Advani's yatra;break from tradition

There are also reports that suggest that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will flag off the yatra from Chhapra on Oct 11.
With Nitish Kumar expressing his unhappiness at Narendra Modi being projected as BJP's choice as Prime Minister, this move could have fresh implications in the changing scenarios. The fact that the Janata Dal-United (JDU), which is a key NDA ally was hurt with Modi being projected for the top job remains. With Nitish Kumar flagging off the yatra, the BJP hopes to calm the not-so-pleased Bihar CM.
Advani will also skip his other tradition of visiting the Somnath Temple in Gujarat ahead of his yatra this time around. He has been following this ritual since the last two decades. He visited the temple ahead of the famous Ayodhya Yatra 21 years ago.
