Illegal mining: K'taka-AP link brings more trouble for Reddy

"We want the CBI to investigate linkage of illegal mining in Bellary and Anantpur," said the Supreme Court on Friday. The apex court's order came after the Central Empowered Committee (CEC) report found that the company owned by Reddy indulged in illegal mining.
The Supreme Court also asked the CBI to table its status report on the investigation in Obulapuram illegal mining case.
However, the CBI court on the same day posted the hearing on the central investigation agency's petition seeking custody of former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy and his brother-in-law B V Srinivas Reddy on Sept 29.
