Jayalalithaa
Bangalore, Sept 21: A court in Bangalore which will hear a corruption case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jyalalithaa on Wednesday (today), has ordered the government of Karnataka to arrange required security for her visit on Oct 20, 2011.

Judge B M Mallikarjunaiah ordered the court's presiding officer to write a letter to the government on security arrangement for Jayalalithaa. Meanwhile, Jayalalithaa has 'Z' category security.

Earlier, Jayalalithaa had appealed to the Supreme Court that she be exempted from the court hearing, but the court ruled out her request on Sept 12.

The case against Jayalalithaa links to the alleged collection of disproportionate wealth worth over Rs. 66 crore between 1991 and 1996. She has also been accused of misusing her earlier terms as Chief Minister for personal benefit.
