Learn onion-free recipes, prices to hit Rs 60-100/kg

Fearing protest by the farmers in Maharashtra, the government on Tuesday, Sept 20 lifted the ban which they had imposed just 11 days back to counter the price rise issue in the country.
Union Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee earlier had issued the ban to control the rising retail price of onion which went up to Rs 25 per kg.
Talking to a daily, a wholesale trader informed, "The onion prices are expected to touch Rs 40 per kg in the wholesale market by the end of the next month, whereas an end customer will have to shell out at least Rs 60 per kg." Meanwhile, sources claimed that irregular and less rain at the onion growing areas will also affect the price rise issue in the country.
