Janardhan Reddy
Bangalore, Sept 20: Mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy seems to have pulled on more troubles by being tight-lipped in the CBI interrogation.

Latest reports suggest that CBI, which arrested Reddy over his possible involvement in Bellary illegal mining scam, is seeking permission of the special court in Hyderabad to put him on a polygraph and narco analysis test, though the court on Monday extend the judicial custody of mining business-magnet turned politician till Oct 3.

Reddy is believed to be the prime instrument in bringing the BJP government in Karnataka for the very first time in state's political history.

Including Reddy, CBI is mulling to subject three other directors of the Obalapuram Mining Company to polygraph tests, one being Reddy's wife Lakshmi Aruna, who has been named as the first accused.

Reddy who always presented himself with a neat shaved face, seemed very dull and tired on Tuesday, Sept 19 when he was brought to CBI court for his bail plea hearing. He broke down in tears and touched the feet of senior counsels and stood with folded hands through out the proceedings.

This gesture from Reddy passed shocking waves across, however, the actual reason behind his tears was that his advocate Uday Lalit had refused to appear for him (Janardhana Reddy) and his close aide Srinivas Reddy in a case filed by CBI. This shattered Reddy's hope and put him in tears.
