No bail for Kannada actor Darshan

Bangalore, Sept 20: Bangalore Court has rejected Kannada actor Darshan's bail plea today, Sept 20. The actor was arrested on Sept 9 after his wife, Vijayalakshmi made a complaint to the police alleging that her husband Darshan beat her up and threatened to kill their child.

Police charged Darshan under IPC section 307 (Attempt to murder), 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 498(A) (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation).

In her five page statement to police, Vijayalakshmi had also said that the actor was having an affair with his co-star Nikita Thukral in sets of his upcoming epic movie - Sangolli Rayann.

The actor's dark phase of time started when multiple diseases started affecting him and he was finally admitted at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Chest Diseases. But, by this time, Darshan's starry airs started working since the Sandalwood industry stood beside him.

There were rumours that despite his crime, the jail authorities were hesitating and bending over to avoid star tantrums. But now it seems that his stardom hasn't helped in the case as he will have to go through all the legal proceedings after his plea has been rejected today.
