Janardhana Reddy again sent to judicial custody till Oct 3

New Delhi, Sept 19: A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Monday (Today) extended judicial custody of former Karnataka tourism minister Janardhana Reddy and Managing Director of Obulapuram Mining Company B V Srinivasa Reddy till October 3, 2011. Both were arrested by the CBI under Prevention of Corruption Act.

CBI petition for extension of custody and bail was pending before the court. Meanwhile, on Monday (today) Pro-Telangana advocates have disrupted the morning session of court proceedings.

Earlier, Janardhana Reddy, owner of the Obulapuram Mining Company (OMC) and his brother-in-law and firm's managing director Srinivasa Reddy were arrested by the CBI on Sept 5. The CBI had booked a case against Obulapuram Mining Company in the illegal mining case in 2009.
