Man blackmails teenager over MMS

Kalyan, Sept 17: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly threatened by a 25 year old man, Nitin Sonawane, over an obscene MMS. The accused was blackmailing her for money.

On April 18, 2011, Nitin offered her a lift when she was waiting for a bus at Khadakpada in Kalyan. Nitin took her to a secluded spot and forcibly took some obscene pictures of the victim and then started demanding money from her.

In the beginning, the victim paid some money but later when she refused to pay, on Thursday Sep 15, Nitin sent a photo to her family by post.

When the family members came to know about the incident, they lodged a complaint against Nitin. When accused, Nitin, came to know about this he fled to Shirdi. A police team has been sent to Shirdi to nab him.
