Omar Abdullah heads for splitsville with wife of 17 years

New Delhi, Sept 15: Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah and his wife of 17 years Payal Nath are heading for a splitsville, said reports.

According to official status, the couple are believed to have filed for a separation.

Reports also suggest that Omar, over past few months, avoided visiting Payal who stays in Delhi with their two sons. Omar, during his visit to the national capital would stay at Farooq Abdullah's Safdarjung residence or at J&K House on 5, Prithiviraj Road.

Sources confirm that the couple's separation is by mutual consent. It is however not clear on why the couple separated.

Rumour mills also did rounds that the CM would remarry, which he later rubbished after his tweet confirmed that he was separating with his wife but the news of his remarriage was not true.
