Kingmaker Amar Singh in need of psychiatric help?

New Delhi, Sept 15: Former Samajwadi Party chief and Cash-for-votes-scam accused Amar Singh is currently on a pathetic plight after the AIIMS report suggested that Singh needs a psychiatric consultation.

"For his anxiety and restlessness, a psychiatry consultation has also been sought," AIIMS said in its medical report.

AIIMS report says that a "super specialist team of five doctors" examined the politician on the evening of September 12 and they recommended that "the patient requires care under an institute where all specialities and super specialities care is available, preferably AIIMS".

A letter by a senior medical officer to Tihar jail authority states, "It is to inform you that patient/prisoner Amar Singh was examined by a board of doctors on September 12 and they have recommended that inmate/patient should be referred to AIIMS in view of multiple ailments and post-renal transplant state."

Health problems faced by Amar Singh:

According to AIIMS report, Singh has been suffering from vomiting and diarrhea for which the gastroenterologist has suggested automatic function tests and endoscopy with mucosal biopsy.

Singh was showing signs of "fluctuating" health. Singh was admitted to AIIMS following complications related to post-renal transplant, diarrhea, urinary tract infection, diabetes, dehydration and hypothyroid hypertension, Sanjay Gupta, additional professor of the department of nephrology at AIIMS, said in his report.
