JK CM Omar Abdullah confirms Divorce but not Marriage

Srinagar, Sep 15: Jammu Kashmir Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, putting an end to all speculations, confirmed the news that he is heading for a splitsville with his wife, Payal Nath, which will mark the end 17 years' married life. However, the CM of the valley tarnished all rumours and gossip about his re-marriage.

Abdullah from his Twitter account, said, "While it's true my wife and i have separated, speculation about the motives and my future actions are unfounded, untrue."

Blaming the media and internet-saccy people, Omar also tweeted, "stories abt my remarriage are completely false, concocted. It's a pity, while repeating these lies, no effort was made to ask me the truth."

Assuring about his commitment towards his work, Omar also appealed the people to allow him and his family "privacy". However, the CM's tweets also confirmed that official statement on the issue will be delivered shortly.

Earlier it was reported that over past few months, avoided visiting Payal who stays in Delhi with their two sons. Omar, during his visit to the national capital would stay at Farooq Abdullah's Safdarjung residence or at J&K House on 5, Prithiviraj Road.

Two names that are doing rounds are-a friend of the J&K CM, a high profile media person and other a choice of his father, his party and the sister of Nasir Aslam Wani, politician.
