Azhar's son's condition worsens; remains unconscious

Hyderabad, Sept 15: The condition of Ayazuddin, the son of cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin is deteriorating, said reports.

Reports reveal that doctors at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad have expressed their concern over the worsening condition of the 19-year-old.

A medical bulletin revealed that Ayaz remained unconscious, his neurological condition following hypoxia (oxygen deficiency causing a very strong drive to correct the deficiency) because of cardiac arrest continues to remain of "grave concern", said doctor Hari Prasad, CEO, Apollo Hospital.

The youngster who is currently hospitalised and battling for his life in the hospital, met with the tragedy when he along with his cousin Ajmal-ur-Rahman went on a bike ride on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Sept 11.

Ayazuddin and Rahman, his cousin were rushed to Apollo hospital where Rahman, Azhar's nephew was declared dead .

Doctors performed a nephrectomy (removal of kidney) and removed Ayaz's left kidney which they said was required for his survival.

Ayazuddin was earlier warned over the dangers of speeding by officials in his college, his college principal Rama Rao informed.
