Mallika Sherawat to be questioned over bro's misfiring case

Mumbai, Sept 14: After Vikram Lamba, brother of Bollywood actress Mallika Sherawat was arrested for misfiring from his pistol, the actress will now be questioned over her brother's pistol, said reports.

The issue came to notice after a loud bang was heard by Lamba's neighbours. The incident occurred when Lamba was cleaning his pistol at his office in the presence of Rahul Bhatt, son of producer-director, Mahesh Bhatt. [Read more: Bollywood: Mallika Sherawat's brother in legal trouble again]

A case was registered against Vikram Lamba by Versova police for injuring a person by the misfire.

The police revealed that the bullet from the gun hit the window of The Central Institute of Fisheries Education which was opposite to where Lamba's office was. A student got injured after the glass pieces from the window fell on his face. A case of ''causing hurt by an act endangering the life or personal safety of others'' was registered against Lamba.

"More people will be questioned in the case. We will be sending the weapon and bullet for forensic examination and calling Sherawat for questioning," said Sharad Borse, Senior Inspector, Versova police station.

The police also said that they would be investigating into the matter on how Lamba got the license and if any case of negligence was registered against him in the past.
