Darshan's history of abusive tendencies revealed in FIR

Bangalore, Sept 14: Kannada actor Darshan whose bail plea was rejected on Sept 13 has a history of abusing his wife.

According to an FIR filed at the Vijaynagar police station on Sep 9 by Vijayalakshmi, the Sandalwood superstar's wife, the complaint clearly shows the actor's abusive inclinations.

Vijaylakshmi had given a different account after Darshan was arrested.

It was revealed in the FIR that Darshan abused his wife when she was pregnant, said a copy of the FIR accessed by the TOI .

The FIR also accuses him of assaulting Sumati, his mother-in-law and cities Vijayalakshmi's reference to her husband's multiple affairs and how he turned violent after she objected to them.

The actor's wife, fed of of his barbarities, had sought help from actor Shivarajkumar who later counselled and advised the couple after calling them over to his residence on Apr 31, 2011. The FIR also reveals that the actor later got more cruel and aggressive over this and even forced his wife to call Nikita and tell her: "You are not a prostitute. I am a prostitute."

The following are the illustrates of abuse mentioned in the FIR complaint:

-Darshan visited the house of a woman in Vijayanagar, when objected by his wife, he began torturing her.

-While shooting for 'Pokri' in Switzerland, when his wife objected to the way he behaved with other women, the actor threatened to throw their son, who was 9 month-old, out of the window.

-After his affair with actress Nikita came into light and he was confronted, the actor on Apr 17, 2011 hit Vijayalakshmi with sandals, assailed his mother-in-law and broke the showcase in the house.

-The actor spent around Rs 3-4 Lakh for the marriage of Vijayalakshmi's sister, which later became an issue of abuse.

-After Darshan returned from a shoot in Mumbai on Apr 30, 2011, he assaulted his wife continuously from 4pm to 2am. Despite of being told to file a police complaint, Vijayalakshmi chose to keep mum over the issue, thinking the actor's image would be tainted. She had taken treatment at Radhakrishna Hospital.

-Vijayalakshmi in Apr went up to Shivarajkumar and sought his help.

-On Aug 17 and 18, Darshan threatened his wife that he was coming with a loaded gun. Though the Jalahalli police were informed, Vijyalakshmi chose to remain silent. In the dogfight, Vijyalakshmi and her son were injured.

-On Sept 8, 2011, the actor pulled his wife into the car, tortured her, tore her clothes and threatened her at gun point.

Seems like the actor has drawn inspiration from his father, Tugudeep Srinivas's reel life villainous persona in his real life.
