CBSE to introduce online enginnering entrance exam

New Delhi, Sept 14: The Central Board of Secondary Education will organize its online All India Entrance Examination for Engineering (AIEEE) in 22 centres all over the India from next year. This move has been taken after a successful pilot test conducted in last year. No paper and pen will be accepted in online examination.

Sources said that the online test will be held from May 7 to 25, 2012 and the paper test will be held on April 29, 2012 in 65 centres all over India. Those examinee who wish to appear in online examination will offer a concession between Rs 150 to Rs 300 in examination fee. A mock test software will also be uploaded in CBSE website for online examinees to provide an hands-on experience before the main examination.

Meanwhile, CBSE has decided not to sold hard copy of AIEEE form. All applicants should fill up their form through online by log on to the CBSE/AIEEE website. The examination fee will accepted through credit/debit card/ demand draft. To help the student in filling up the online form CBSE will open a facilitation centre, where early the physical forms used to be sold.
