Amar Singh gets VIP treatment in AIIMS after Tihar

New Delhi, Sept 14: Amar Singh, Ex-Samajwadi General Secretary who is currently undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for abnormalities in the functioning of his kidneys, has been shifted to a special ward meant for Members of Parliament.

The condition of the Rajya Sabha MP is said to be stable now. Amar was shifted to AIIMS after his creatinine level went high. [Read more: Amar Singh hospitalised for abnormal kidney functioning]

Amar has been lodged in Tihar jail since Sept 6 over his role in bribing BJP MPs in the cash for votes scam.

Meanwhile, Amar's bail plea has been adjourned till Sept 15 in connection with the cash-for-votes scam. [Read more: Amar Singh lives it up large behind bars]
