Will Sept 13 spell doom on Kannada actor Darshan?

Bangalore, Sept 13: The first additional chief metropolitan magistrate on Monday reserved till Tuesday, Sept 13 its order on the bail plea of Kannada actor Darshan, who has been arrested for assaulting and threatening to murder his wife Vijayalakshmi.

Darshan has been booked under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 498A (husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). He has also been booked under section 27 of the arms act.

Public Prosecutor Amrut Kumar earlier objected to granting of bail. Vijayalakshmi, earlier lodged a complaint stating her husband's torture on her. But later, she flip-flopped from her original statement claiming that she fell down in the bathroom resulting to serious injuries. Moreover, Darshan's lawyer also claimed the same as Vijayalakhsmi.
