Congress slams Uttarakhand govt

PCC chief Yashpal Arya said in a statement that because of a "string of scams" the central funds had lapsed.
He said the change of guard in the state with installation of B C Khanduri as chief minister replacing Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank would not change the sagging image of the ruling party.
"The BJP rule in the hill state has heralded a new era of corruption," he said, alleging that the BJP government had misappropriated funds to the tune of crores of rupees.
Arya also accused the government of not providing relief to farmers reeling under the impact of natural disasters like landslides and floods in the state.
