Jagan alleges injustice to AP by Krishna Water Tribunal
Injustice has been done to Andhra Pradesh by the Krishna Water Tribunal and it should be rectified immediately, he said during his interaction with flood-victims here.
The Centre allowed Karnataka to construct irrigation projects on river Krishna at Narayanapur and Almatti and those two projects have become a bane for the state, the Kadapa MP said.
Whenever water exceeds in the two projects, it is released indiscriminately downstream to the projects in AP, he added.
Jagan said the present flood situation in Krishna river was due to the failure of the state and Central governments to complete irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh.
Alleging that the 32 Congress MPs from AP had failed to protect interests of the state, Jagan asked them to stage a ''dharna'' before the Prime Minister's house demanding more funds to complete pending irrigation projects and rightful share of Krishna water for Andhra Pradesh.
