BSP MLA's car runs over religious leader; 4 booked

Badaun (UP), Sep 10: A BSP MLA and his family members were today (Sep 10) booked after a car in his cavalcade ran over a Muslim cleric in Bareilly here.

An FIR has been registered against BSP MLA from Ushait Assembly seat Muslim Ali Khan, his two brothers and son after his car hit Hazrat Saqulain Miyan, an official of Sharafat Miyan Dargah, last night in Bareilly, police said, adding that the cleric was on his way to a religious fair.

The report was filed after supporters of the religious leader protested and gheraoed Alapur police station. No arrests have been made so far, police said.
