Sonia feels PM a man "hard to find" in politics: WikiLeaks

New Delhi, Sep 6: WikiLeaks in another US cable release described Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi's comments on Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh as " a man of integrity" and "hard to find" in politics.

She in conversation with US diplomat over nuclear deal said that Congress party "trusts him" because he was "straight forward and frank".

In 2007 the cable had released that Shivshankar Menon, the then foreign secretary had signalled to the US diplomats that the Indo-US nuclear deal was important to Prime Minister Singh.

Also ahead of the G-8 summit in Jul 2008, Menon, who is the national security adviser now said to the US diplomats that the prospect of visiting the country (US) with any domestic process on the nuclear deal was making Manmohan Singh "sick".

"We've managed to come so far with the US; we have not done anything like this with anyone else, ever," Menon had said.
