Threat on Anna Hazare? Z category security provided

Pune, Sep 3: The SP of Ahmednagar, under which Anna Hazare's village Ralegan Siddhi comes, on Saturday, Sep 3 informed that Anna has been provided with 'Z' category security.

However, the SP, Krishna Prakash dismissed all speculations about any kind of threat on the 74-year-old Gandhian crusader who recently gained world-wide recognition with his 13-day-long fast for a strong Jan Lokpal Bill.

Informing about Anna's demands, Prakash said, "He (Anna) said he never wanted any type of security cover and that he likes to mingle among people and does not perceive any threat."

Despite Anna's objection, police authorities informed, "Whenever Hazare will leave his village Ralegan Siddhi, there will be a squad vehicle which will travel with him."

Currently, four guards and two Personal Security Officers (PSOs) are protecting Hazare. After his fast at Ramlila Maidan, Anna was admitted in a hospital in Gurgaon then he moved to his hometown. The crusader attended a gram sabha at his village on Friday.
