Muammar Gaddafi remains defiant, vows to fight back

Tripoli, Sep 2: Muammar Gaddafi, deposed Libyan leader in an audio message on television vowed to come back and said he would not surrender.

He also urged his loyalists to continue waging war against rebels.

"We are not weak women. We are not slaves. We can not give up. We can not surrender," Gaddafi said on Syria's Al-Rrai TV channel in the message broadcast.

"Let this be a long fight and let Libya be engulfed in flames," he said.

"All Libyan tribes are heavily armed and cannot be brought to their knees. We'll be awarded victory ultimately. We can never surrender," said Gaddafi, whose whereabouts remain unknown.

Gaddafi's son, Saif al-Islam in an audio message on Syrian Television channel was doing good and promised to "liberate" Tripoli from rebels.
