Nashik: 14-year-old raped, set on fire; 3 minors arrested

Nashik, Sep 1: Nashik police arrested three minor boys who had allegedly raped a 14-year-old girl and set her on fire. The victim on Thursday, Sep 1 has succumbed to her 97 percent burn injury.

The three accused, who have been sent to remand home, allegedly raped the girl in her residence. The three minor boys allegedly barged into the victim's house when her parents were not present.

Some reports also quoted the victim's parents as saying that the same three boys had earlier raped the girl three months back. However, police officials have not yet confirmed the second news.

The trio have been arrested under section 307 (attempt to murder) and section 376 (rape) of the IPC.
