Gujarat Map
Ahmedabad, Aug 29: Twelve accused in the killing of former Gujarat Home Minister Haren Pandya have been acquitted by the Gujarat High Court on Monday, Aug 29.

The High Court of chief minister, Narendra Modi's state, dropped the murder charges against all accused as evidences against the accused were not enough to indict them.

However, criminal conspiracy and charges of attempt to murder case can be hurled at the accused, as the court said on Monday.

A POTA court in 2007 indicted all twelve accused in the murder case of Pandya and seven of them were conferred life imprisonment. Now, following the High Court's verdict, the twelve accused are to be freed soon.
