A Raja to be charged on Sep 15? Crucial day for 2G accused

New Delhi, Aug 29: The court hearings over the 2G spectrum scam have been ended on Monday, Aug 29. The final decision over the charges on former telecom minister, A Raja and other accused of the telecom scam will be delivered on Sep 15.

Final judgment on Raja, who has been accused in the 2G spectrum scam along with 16 other persons, will be pronounced on Sep 15. Raja has currently been lodged in Tihar jail in Delhi.

Raja has been accused of providing special privileges (illegally) to certain telecom companies while allocating second generation telecom spectrum in 2008.

CBI in its charge-sheet accused Raja of cheating and criminal conspiracy. Raja allegedly received Rs 214 crore bribe from the Swam Telecom through DMK family owned Kalaignar TV.
