Irom Sharmila needs help; Anna Hazare to visit Manipur soon?
Calling Manipur the "most corrupted state," Sharmila in a letter to Anna, said, "My humble suggestion is if you feel seriously, please try to reach the concerned legislators (read authorities) to let me get free, like yours, to join your amazing crusade to root out corruption — which is the root of all evils. Or you can come to Manipur, the most corruption-affected region in the world."
Irom, who is also well-known as "Iron lady", reportedly sent a letter to the Gandhian crusader seeking support for her cause to withdraw controversial Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA), 1958, from Manipur.
Anna, who broke his 12-day fast on Sunday, Aug 28 after the government had passed the resolutions on Lokpal Bill, has been admitted in a hospital in Gurgaon.
