Bollywood applauds Anna Hazare

Mumbai, Aug 28: After Anna Hazare ended his 12 day fast on Sunday, Aug 28 (today), the veteran was applauded by Bollywood big wigs like Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Shabana Azmi who called it "a moment of greatest pride" and "a new beginning".

"To know that such individuals inhabit our nation is a moment of the greatest pride. But to know what they feel is incredible!! ...all praise to the spirit of the one man... that he inhabits our land and feels for it. He further added, "can jail a revolutionary, but you cannot jail the revolution " .People strength has the capacity to move mountains .. many have I seen moved and humbled through the years .. people power, ultimate " Happy that my faith in the people of this country is unshakeable .. One man moved a mountain ... many more mountains to go !!" read Amitabh Bachchan's twitter.

"To a new beginning. Let's applaud Anna for leading the people of India into a nonviolent show of strength.I'm proud to be an Indian. Jai Ho," read Shabana Azmi's tweet.

"Anna's fight is in every home. This will impact everyone of us for years to come! In my life, I hope I'm able to keep this alive in my small way," said Lara Dutta's tweet.

"One man unites an entire nation. Peacefully. #salute," read Abhishek Bachchan's tweet.

"Anna is our true leader and his spirit has made everyone conscious that we can do away with corruption and need not accept it as a part of our lives. Big step forward for India and all of us!," read Bipasha Basu's tweet.

Anna who had began his indefinite hunger strike on Aug 16 broke his fast after the government agreed to all the three conditions set by him to fight corruption.
