Defence cadet shoots female co-worker in shower, charged

The cadet has been told to surrender his passport and have been forewarned on contacting the alleged victim.
21-year-old Obaid Fayyaz was ordered to appear before the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday, Aug 26 (today) and has been accused of committing an indecent act without consent.
Police was called after the female cadet chanced upon a hidden mobile in the vent above her shower. A laptop, mobile and USB memory stick have been recovered from the accused following which he was arrested and sent to ACT watch house.
John Harris, SC, the accused person's lawyer said that his client agreed to surrender his passport to the police.
Meanwhile, the accused was told by a commonwealth prosecutor not to contact his co worker, nor threaten, assault or intimidate her.
