5-year-old girls targeted for rape in Chandigarh?

Chandigarh, Aug 25: A 5-year-old girl was raped brutally on Tuesday evening, Aug 23 near her house in Sector 25. The girl was taken to a Government Multispeciality Hospital in Sector 16 where she is undergoing treatment.

A case has been registered at Sector-11 police station. The girl's father is a labourer and they live in a shanty. According to the police, the girl was violated 100 metres from her house. Nobody has been arrested so far in this connection.

In another incident, there was an attempt to rape a 5-year-old girl in Mauli Jagran. Police have identified a neighbour as the culprit, but he has not been arrested.
